Austrianni is a Vienna-based biotechnology company developing therapeutics for human infectious diseases. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a highly motivated experienced technical assistant (full time) to join our antibody programs.

Tasks and responsibilities 

• Mammalian cell culture, including hybridomas, and isolation of primary cells
• Immunizations and preparation of lymphoid organs
• RNA isolation and sequence analysis of antibody genes
• Generation of expression vectors for antibody production
• Antibody expression and purification
• Identification of specific antibodies: antigen binding (ELISA, Western blot, flow cytometry), bacterial growth and infection assays (viability, fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry)
• Lab management including ordering and preparing of reagents and consumables
• Data management and analysis
• Presentation of data in internal company meetings

Requirements and desired qualifications

• BTA, MTA, CTA, BSc or MSc in life sciences (biology, biotechnology, chemistry)
• FELASA course or similar certificate for working with experimental animals
• Experience with cell culture and molecular biology
• Experience with immunology, flow cytometry and in vivo work
• High level of flexibility and curiosity to learn and establish assays and techniques
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in an international team
• Written and oral communication skills in English
• Basic computer skills
